I am proud of my Filipino heritage. Migration has played and continues to play a significant role in Philippine culture. Religion and language are both important aspects of the culture with Tagalog, English and Spanish all being spoken in the Philippines and Filipinos adapting to many other languages around the world. We have always been a people who love to communicate and share. In this way, I hope that Filipino and other diasporas are a force for good in the world, encouraging understanding and awareness of humanity.
