My mother used to tell stories of the blessings and curses that could be given or inflicted by La Bruja. I loved the stories, but especially the ones about the evil witch and her curses. 
 
This painting depicts the curses inflicted by La Bruja and, with a nod to Frida Khalo's painting, Unos Cuantos Piquetitos, it shows many tiny cuts.
